The Doom 3 Weapons Mod is exactly what the title says; it is a weapon mod that recreates the weapons found in Doom 3 for Doom 2, replacing the original weapons. ChaosCentral is the creator of this mod, while DomRem is an assistant with bugfinding.
This wad was a personal project, but now I decided to release it. It's not the most original idea, and I know that those sprites are overused, but I can't see any mod that use this sprites wisely, so, I decided to make it by my own. There are a lot of new things, tough: BFG and Plasma balls made entirely from scrath; All wepons have a full working reload, with instant weapon switch when the player is out of ammo; All weapons have a recoil effect, bulet casings and smoke; BFG have four attack levels and can also explode, as well the grenades; A lot of edited sprites; New and edited sounds; Enhanced projectiles; Custom blood decals; And a few more. Some feedback. • I know you don't want to hear me say that the Doom 2.5 weapon graphics are overused, but there are a few things that could stand to have been changed. The pistol seems to be doing almost nothing for the first couple seconds of its reload. At the point where the clip ejects, perhaps you could shift the weapon's sprite up a couple pixels? • The shotgun's ejection port mysteriously opens and closes by itself when the player inserts shells into it. • Code-wise there are a few hiccups as well.
While the shotgun reloads two shells at once - accurate to its Doom 3 counterpart - reloading with only one shell left causes it to add two shells to the shotgun anyway. • The smoke effects are nice and subtle, I like them. • The location of the Chaingun's muzzle flash seems a bit off, like it's overlapping part of the weapon sprite during rapid fire. • I absolutely adore your new projectiles. The plasma rifle feels like it ought to. My only complaint is that the BFG's projectile does not seem to animate, making it seem a bit lifeless.

New mod, the ultimate super doom3 mod equivalent to volume 4.6, is compatible with skulltag 98d and gzdoom or zdoom not patches anymore: advantages: new visual effects ( not so coolest than super doom3 take II, but decent).
